Pomurje hopes to attract visitors with the help of a series of events, a promotional video, a photo exhibition and a virtual presentation with 3D glasses. The latter will focus on the region's spa and health resorts.

Representatives of Pomurje want to present the region's tourist and business opportunities to the world. Setting up a skate park in front of the Slovenian pavilion, bathroom maker Varis Lendava will be among the companies to secure an innovative presentation in cooperation with the pavilion's business centre.

This green, Pannonian section of Slovenia is imbued with sun and its deepest layers of soil rich in healing, thermal and mineral-rich water. Pomurje, which has a rich history, is a land of unique natural beauty that extends along the Mura river, the SPIRIT investment and tourism promotion agency said.

Softly rounded hills that provide beautiful views are an excellent opportunity for cycling trips and hiking. A crossroads of different cultures, traditions and peoples, Pomurje gives visitors a chance to experience architectural, cultural, ethnological and natural heritage and diverse cultural, festive and traditional events during the summer months in squares, parks, courtyards and meadows.

To top it all off is a wide selection of local cuisine and wines and fruit juices.

The presentation of the region at Expo is accompanied by music and dance, while visitors of the Slovenian pavilion have the chance to try the Pomurje bograč meat and potato stew, sandwiches with traditional cured meat, tomato and bean soup and the Prekmurska gibanica layered cake with multiple fillings. Available along with these Pomurje delicacies are wines from the Steyer cellar in the Radgonske gorice wine hills.
