Slovenian pavilion at Expo Milano 2015 visited by the president of region Friuli Venezia Giulia Debora Serracchiani
Milano, 6 July - The Slovenian pavilion at the World Exposition Expo 2015 was visited last weekend by the president of region Friuli Venezia Giulia Debora Serracchiani. She was awarded by Slovenian President Borut Pahor with the Golden Order of Merit for her contribution in the cooperation between the countries.
As reported by the agency Spirit Slovenia, Saturday at the Slovenian pavilion met the representatives of Slovenia, Austria and Italy. Friuli Venezia Giulia is the link between the countries, because it borders with both Slovenia and Austria. The representatives stressed that the meeting is a symbolic act which reflects the idea of Expo - the cooperation between people does not stop at borders. In the forefront are cross-border projects in the field of economy, transport and culture.
During the trilateral meeting were particularly exposed the Slovenian minority in Italy and the Italian in Slovenia. At the meeting was also present Walter Bandelj, the President of the Council of Slovenian organizations.
