Social Enterpreneurship Day at Expo Milano 2015

Milano, 1 July - The Ministry of Economic Development and Technology organized the Day of Social Entrepreneurship at Expo Milano 2015. At the Slovenian pavilion will present itself social enterprises and cooperatives in the context of the International Forum of Social Entrepreneurship. For Slovenia, along with the promotion of competitivness of small and medium-sized enterprises, is essential to foster social entrepreneurship and cooperatives, which represent great potential for growth and development of the economy. It is an innovative form of entrepreneurship that focuses on social impacts. Social entrepreneurship is also the most sustainable entrepreneurship in terms of providing economic, social and environmental benefits.

Social entrepreneurship focuses on solving social, economic, environmental an other society problems in an innovative way. Social entrepreneurship is one of the eleven strategic projects of Slovenian Government , entitled Promoting the development of social entrepreneurship, cooperatives and economic democracy. The primary purpose of these alternative form of entrepreneurshipp is creating jobs for vulnerable groups of people and perform socially useful activities.
The development of innovative business models may provide secure and also more stable jobs in these vulnerable times of economic and financial crisis.

Like classic companies social enterprises appear on markets, difference is that profit is returned to the company. Social entreprenuership connects people and promote volunteer work, strenghtening the solidarity in the society.
The promotion of social entreprenuership globally contributes to the expansion of this kind of economy, keeping social enterprises more motivated to achieve great results. Connecting with foreign partners can contributes to the opening of new markets and enhancing their visibility in international environment.
