Minister Gorazd Žmavc at the presentation of Slovenian minority in Italy
Milano, 15 May - Today, 15 May 2015, in the morning, Minister for the Slovenians abroad Gorazd Žmavc attended the presentation of the Slovenian community in Italy at Expo Milano 2015. Minister Žmavc addressed the participants and expressed proudly his satisfaction that the Slovenian national minority presented itself at the Universal Exhibition.
He emphasized the importance of the connection between Slovenia and the Slovenians abroad, which is also represented through the presentation of the living abroad and the Flavors of Karst. Typical products and regional cuisine are very important for the continuation of tradition and recognisability of Karst. Slovenian identity is preserved through the cuisine and typical products of our land. An irreplaceable role is played by the Slovenian regional economic association, which bounds the economies of both countries, in this case in the enogastronomic field.
For the conclusion the minister said: "I am extremely proud that today we are in this wonderful Slovenian pavilion, which was designed by the same architects as the Trieste literary center, which will open its doors in the heart of Trieste at the end of June."
